2021 Annual Conference

Thank you for your interest in applying to speak at The Photo Managers annual conference.

We are seeking presentations or panel discussions targeted towards both new and experienced photo managers with a focus on the following:

Core Competencies

The essential skills, knowledge, and best practices needed to be a successful photo manager. Digital and printed photo organizing workflows, scanning workflows, camera scanning, understanding terms, archiving, productivity tools, album design, photo gifting, etc.

Client & Project Management
The essential skills and knowledge to manage clients and projects. Client assessment, customer service, project management, pricing strategies, client onboarding, setting expectations, Mac & PC programs, dealing with demanding clients, etc.

Planning for Growth
Strategies needed to scale a business. Identifying revenue streams, budgeting and forecasting, adding staff, policies & procedures, and entering new markets such as businesses, genealogy, and digital asset management.

Business Management
Fundamentals every small business manager and entrepreneur needs. Topics could include contracts, CRM programs, bookkeeping, profitability, time management, life/work balance, and duplicatable systems.

Marketing and Sales
Identifying target clients, branding, social media, blogging, networking and referrals, sales strategies, sales cycle, goal setting, simple website design, the art of storytelling.

Got an idea for a presentation that isn't listed?  We are open to new ideas and concepts that will interest our attendees.

If you are an engaging speaker with ideas and content to share, please submit your application for one of the following areas.

  • Breakout sessions: 90 minutes
  • Learning Lab: 4 hours

If you have an idea for a pre-conference intensive or general session main stage topic, please email Cathi@thephotomanagers.com to discuss your idea before applying.

  • Pre-Conference Intensive:  full day or day and a half
  • General Session - main stage, general audience: 20-60 minutes

We welcome submissions from professional photo managers as well as other professionals who can provide relevant, quality training. Submissions are due no later than September 15th, 2020. You will be notified by October 15th, 2020. There are no limitations to how many proposals you submit.

Information to collect before starting the submission process: Speaker bio, speaker headshot, description of presentation and learning objectives, social media links. Please review the Speaker Agreement and Compensation prior to starting your application.
